Mini Love

The New York Times runs a weekly Modern Love column. Write your own “tiny love” column about a relationship in less than 100 words.

I was a volcano of destruction. I was drowning in the depths of the ocean. I was the endless, anxious rain. I was lost, and then I was found. You did the impossible. You took on my lava and my choppy waves and my endless storms. I thought I knew what love was, but I was so naïve. I will never know how you had so much strength. I often wonder, was it always there and latent, or did you have to search our own soul and find something new? I am forever in your service.
